11March2012 Sunday -- Shopping day

Actually this day was a rest day for us to go out by ourselves but the whole class wanted shopping so our teacher organized to bring us all out for shopping. Everyone gathered at 11am,
and took our attendance before separated into group. When the public bus
arrived at our school, the whole class and some local students were told to
squeeze in the same bus to Guang Han for shopping. We were like sardines in the
bus which look like our Singapore’s MRT train in the morning. The bus fare was
1.50 RMB and about 10 to 15 minutes to reach Guang Han. In our group there were
9 ME students and 3 local students. After reaching Guang Han, we went for lunch
in a restaurant first before shopping around. While walking back to the
department store, we saw a stall selling pancake with different kinds of
filling in it. The types of filling were noodles, vegetables, jams, sauces. The
weirdest car in china was the 3 wheel car that looks like a normal car. After
walking around the streets, we found a park that sells things, sand castle for
children to play and art works to buy and paint. One of the local students
brought us to a shopping street with addidas, cinema and many other shops like
superman (a shop name). Went in to a shop to buy a mickey toilet bowl lighter
for collection and walk the other sports shop. The fast food in china is cheap
like fake KFC shop, the family feast was only 60 RMB (S$12). After walking
several streets, we arrived at a departmental store at Guang Han. The first
floor was selling cosmetics and men clothes. The second floor was selling women
clothes. The third floor was their super mart (Singapore’s Giant) and some
snack stalls. The fourth floor was selling electronic devices. The super mart
do sells rabbit head and bugs that were cooked already. Outside of the departmental
store have many tricycles waiting for passenger and the local told us that the
tricycle was 5 RMB. Before going back, we first went to the Apple shop to top
up the phone and outside the shop were selling fake charger and phones. After
topping up the card, went to a local restaurant that the local students often
went to eat their meals. We ate beef bee hoon (清汤牛肉米粉) and it taste like Singapore’s fish ball noodle soup with beef on it. After the dinner, we went to the night market and we bought
the whole bbq rabbit back to hostel to eat. We were separated into two groups
to take the van (3 RMB) back to school. After reaching school, took some photos
of the main gate before going back to room to rest.
